Over halfway through and a little closer to home…

Hi from Herrnhut, Germany!

It’s been a few more weeks than I intended since I last wrote…It’s been a very good but intense 6 weeks here at the Levite Praise Institute.  We’ve got two and a half more weeks of classes left and I have three more weeks here total.
Thank you for your prayers, partnership, and support in this season of my life!  The Lord is so faithful!  We have settled into life here at Jesus Haus, and I feel that this crew is now family.  Not only are we in class, but also living in community, fellowshiping over meals, evenings, free time, traveling some weekends (Berlin, Hamburg, Prague, Zgorzelec, Salzburg) etc…  It’s been a time of going very deep very quickly in so many different areas.  We are seeing how, as iron sharpens iron, we are sharpening each other, collaborating, learning from each other, challenging each other, and feeding off of each others’ creativity.  Friendships have formed during these weeks that I know will continue after we all go our separate ways.
Personally, it’s been a gift to have these weeks away from the “normal” of life at home.  It’s kind of like being in a pressure cooker.  as we take Truth and apply it first to who we are and second to what we’re doing, Truth changes us from the inside out.  it is impossible to put in a small space all that the Lord has been speaking to me and doing in my heart.  I can definitely say that I am getting what I asked for – continued revelation of who HE is, and what that means for me.  I’m also getting clarity, vision, and perspective for the road ahead once I get home to Bellingham.
The remaining three weeks will most likely fly by.  I don’t want to rush through them and I’m sure they’ll be over before I’m ready.  Please pray for:
  1. health and strength – many of us (me included) have been under the weather this past week.
  2. focus and endurance to keep pressing deeper into all the things to be learned
  3. pray for our instructors – we have two main instructors here for almost 30 students – this is a huge teaching load and they’re also traveling most weekends.
  4. pray for Sue Williams as she prepares to wrap up 5+ years of life and ministry here at Jesus Haus and move to Bellingham to join us at Light of the World Prayer Center.  She’s leaving Germany in three weeks, and will be in the US a few days before Thanksgiving (end of November).
  5. continued direction and provision (especially financial) as I move into a new season of ministry in Bellingham.
When I get back to Bellingham, the goal is to join the staff at Light of the World Prayer center full time as worship director and local missionary to Bellingham.  I’ll be ministering before the Lord in song and music leading worship for weekly prayer meetings, supporting and mentoring worshipers and teams of worshipers, and networking with worship leaders in local churches to serve them and the Church of Whatcom County, and foster unity. In order to do all this, I need a team of partners – prayer partners, financial partners, and practical partners.  Do you want to partner with me in any of these ways?  I’ve included the different giving options below.
Praying for you today from Ephesians 3 – 14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.  20 Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.
